My First Lush Experience

{Lush Store at St.Matthews Mall Louisville, Ky.}

If you read my blog, you know how much I love all natural & organic beauty diys. Because of my skin issues (Atopic Dermatitis), its *very* hard to find products in store that work well for me. Face washes & moisturizers are the number one problematic product... I usually end up using diy probiotic yogurt masks, honey washes, and coconut oil for moisturizers. All of those work out pretty well, but, in all honesty, it can be inconvenient at times! I missed just opening up a bottle, and washing my face with something that smelled good... until now.

{New Lush Valentine's Day Line}

When I was buying new make-up for my brother's wedding, I passed by the Lush store, and thought why not? I had looked in there before, but figured I didn't want to risk a bad skin reaction. Since I really wanted to feel pampered for the wedding, I figured what the heck, I'll just give it a try.

{Beautiful & Delicious Smelling Lush Soaps}

I took a look around, and was a little overwhelmed at first. There were so many products to try out, I didn't know where to start! One of the lush ladies immediately asked if I needed help, and then began my amazement... I was impressed with how informed she was about their ingredients, and how thorough she was with explaining how they would help my problematic skin. She recommended a few face masks, a lip scrub, and a moisturizer. These were a few of my purchases:

{Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask}

{Celestial Facial Moisturizer}

{Lush Bath Bombs}

{Lush Fresh Face Masks!!}

I usually don't rave about store experiences... but you guys, this was beyond what customer service is! I'm not sure if this is what every store is like, but the one I went to was phenomenal. The woman that helped me not only went out of her way to help me test products (not pushy at all.), but I know she knew *exactly* what she was talking about, because miraculously my dry spots are *completely gone*. My mom even commented how my skin was all cleared up. (As soon as I ran out of my face mask, my dry spots returned... I'll go into further detail when I review the products I purchased.) I was so impressed with the service I received, as well as the products I purchased. I honestly cannot think of any recent department store moisturizer or face cleanser that I have ever loved as much as I do these products. (and same goes for customer service, I can't remember the last time I left a store that just blew me away with customer service.) If you've been to Lush before, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. And if you're a newbie, I promise you won't be disappointed, this stuff is amazing..

A little background on Lush Products:

  • 100 % Animal Cruelty Free.
  • Fresh Organic Fruits & Veggies in their products!!
  • Their products are handmade with no or little preservatives.
  • 100% of the purchase price of Charity Pot is donated to Environmental, Humanitarian, & Animal Rights Charities.

And the list just goes on! All of their products I tested smelled delicious and felt great on my skin. I can't wait to do a product review on the Celestial Moisturizer &  their Catastrophe Fresh Face mask I purchased, but I can already tell you I was just blown away.

Their new Valentine's stuff looked super pretty, and I've heard great things about their body washes and bath bombs! What are your favorites?

(I was in no way, shape, or form asked to do a review. I was just so amazed with my experience at this store that I had to let you guys know!)

And a little side note to Lush, you guys have some amazing employees over at Oxmoor Mall. What a wonderful asset to have for your company. I wish I remembered the woman's name who helped me out.<3
