Each week delicious market foods are available for purchase such as waffles, crepes, wraps, muffins, scones, bar-b-que, burgers, gelato, and popcorn. Shaded picnic tables are available for seating. Plastic bags are minimized to create an environmentally-friendly community gathering place. Sorry, pets are not allowed (except service dogs). Volunteers from Beargrass Christian Church direct traffic in and out of the parking lot and assist customers at the market. We are having a vendor/craft fair Spring Fling at the Firefighter's Union Hall on Baker's Lane. Vendors will be there with their products and samples as well as crafters with their Spring/Summer crafts. This event benefits Dallas Derringer's plane pull team for Special Olympics Kentucky. Event: 22nd Annual Taste of Frankfort Avenue 6/22/14 5:00PM-8:00PM
The Clifton Center, located at 2117 Payne Street, will host the 22nd Annual Taste of Frankfort Avenue on Sunday, June 22nd from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The event will include cuisine from over 20 restaurants, a cash bar, and live music. Advanced tickets are $45 and can be purchased at Carmichael’s Bookstore, 2720 Frankfort Avenue, or online at www.cliftoncenter.org. All proceeds will benefit the Clifton Center.

Event: Comfy Cow Kid's Chase Run 6/21/14 8:00AM-4:00PM
This year we’re proud to announce that the Comfy Cow will be holding the Comfy Cow Chase Kid’s Run right after the Powered with Pride 5k in Cherokee Park next Saturday, June 21st!

Event: Upper Highlands Festival 6/21/14 11:00AM-3:00PM
 The Upper Highlands Neighborhood's tenth annual Festival will be held on the front lawn of Atherton High School on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.  A fun day of entertainment and enjoyment for all ages, including great live music all day.  Interesting speakers each hour during the music breaks. See listings below.  (In case of rain, we will move indoors to Atherton's Concourse area.)
This year's festival will be "picnic" style, with Rob-a-Que barbeque, Papa John's pizza, and Little Jack Horner's Italian ice available.  So we hope you will stop by for some food, fun, and conversation with your neighbors!  (NOTE:  Upper Highlands residents should come to the UHNA table to get a voucher for a free barbeque sandwich and chips or pizza. Limited number available.)
Vendors booths and displays for your enjoyment and information.
Great door prizes and various give-aways!  This year UHNA will be giving away a Special Gift Basket valued at over $225 featuring gifts from Gardiner Lane Shopping Center merchants, including Goodyear, Subway, Mathis Dental, Staples, Rainbow Blossom, State Farm, Buckhead Mountain Grill, Rocky's Pizza and Panini, Heine Bros. and more!  Be sure to stop by our booth and sign up.
There will be games and fun, including the new Shooting Star Basketball game; Football Toss game; cornhole for everyone to play (sponsored by Park Community); a prize wheel for youngsters (sponsored by State Farm); face painting, and much more!  Watch this site for updates.
Petting Zoo – this year featuring a kangaroo and a cavy.  You have to see it to believe it!
The Magicians (Louisville Magic Club) will be mingling with the crowd performing amazing and mysterious feats.
The popular costumed Mascots will be back (Louisville League of Mascots) to entertain and provide many photo ops.
All new music this year!  Live music on the lawn will entertain you all day with a variety popular music you are sure to enjoy!
