Tooth Fairy Dollar Basket Idea!

My 7 year old lost his first tooth the other night, it was so unexpected! To be completely honest, I didn't even know what the going rate per tooth was these days. When I was little, I remember getting .25 per tooth, *maybe* a dollar sometimes?? I think the rate has a gone up a bit in 20+ years lol. Since it was unexpected (no loose teeth that I had noticed during teeth brushing), I wasn't even sure that I had cash on hand. =X I did a quick look up on my pinterest board, and found a neat idea for the tooth fairy.

The dollar basket is pretty simple to do, it was just very time consuming since I couldn't get the triangle folds correctly. I had to redo it a few times. I placed a few pennies into the basket :-)

Luckily, I had a few scrapbook pieces laying around in my box, so I took it out, and let the *toothfairy* write a little note to my son. He was so extremely excited to find his tiny basket, he carried it around in our home for about 2 days haha.

  1. Such a cute idea! I would have loved this!!! I always looked forward to the tooth fairy coming and sometimes she left amazing things ( a blanket) and sometimes she completely forgot and my mom and dad had to help me find where she left the money, haha!!
