I love holidays. I love the celebration, I love the food, I love dressing my boys in cute outfits that they probably will hate me for later... (Bunny ears for Easter anyone?)

I thought it would be fun to find some 4th of July inspiration for next week. I'm not a stylist by any means, but as a personal rule of thumb (for myself, maybe I'm just low key) I don't like to over do things when it comes to beauty or fashion. To keep from looking like a clown, I'll either play up my eyes and do a nude lip, or keep my eyes subtle and use a bolder color on my lips. I also apply the same concept for my clothing, I'll either show my legs and cover up on top, or use a subtly revealing top and cover my legs. (or maybe I'm just getting old lol.)

For celebrations, I love to get into the spirit, but I try to keep it below the "fugly Christmas Sweater" threshold if you know what I mean. For the 4th, I'll probably stick to a flag top, and keep the rest casual, or maybe use a white tank and add a statement necklace or bracelet with red, white, & blue. I've never been much of a fan of dressing head to toe in colors of any holiday. I'm not that brave :-)
