Korean BBQ Kalbi Chicken

I'm always looking for new foods to cook. I love trying different Ethnic foods, and whenever I find something new at my local Asian store, I rush home to try it out. I had heard of Korean Kalbi from a cooking show, but I never knew that they sold a sauce for it! I went to a Vietnamese friend's daughter's birthday party last summer, and I'm pretty sure this was similar to what they prepared. I absolutely loved it, so I was stoked when I found this bottle.

What you need:
  • 5 lbs Chicken Thighs
  • Korean Kalbi Marinade
  • Optional (Diced carrots and potatoes.)
 Method:
Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees. Line a dutch oven (or deep pot) with tin foil, add the chicken (& veggies if using), and pour the marinade over everything. Cook for about 40 minutes, or until the juices run clear. Enjoy!

I enjoy the meat sliced up over noodles, or rice. It reminds me of the Mandarin chicken, or sweet terriyaki chicken served in Chinese Buffets =)

I purchased the marinade at my favorite Asian Store:

Dixie Oriental

Here's a link to my listed review of the place, along with a list of my favorite things to grab =)

What's the latest recipe you've tried?
